What Did You Play Mondays? March 4, 2019

I had a great week of gaming this week! I got to play some new games that I loved including:
Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done - this is a very fast, easy-to-learn, sort of race game with an interesting rondel/mancala mechanisms (and really gorgeous art and components by Tasty Ministrel Games)
Outer Earth - a sci-fi themed card game about developing planets with a clever mechanism for adding cards to planets
Via Appia - another sort of racing game about building a road from ancient Rome to Brundisium with an exciting mechanism that has you pushing wooden disks on one side of a cardboard cart (in the quarry) to try make more of them fall off the other side (and then trading those disks for tiles and tiling the road). Very under-rated, fun, push your luck, light/family-weight game. I think this game would've done much better with a different name.
We also played some "less new" games that we continue to love
Traders of Osaka - A friend of mine described this as "A Gamer Version of Ticket To Ride" and I think I agree. So great!
Reef - Beautiful and fast. I'm horrible at this game but always like it.
Clank!: A Deck-Building Adventure - my brother-in-law is currently obsessed with Clank so we've been playing (and still enjoying!) this one a lot!
Azul - my game of the year (and lots of people agreed) from a few years ago. Elegant, beautiful game!
Mystic Vale - taught some friend this unique take on a deck-building game with clear cards. Do you go for 3 or 4 really powerful cards or do you try to craft a deck where most cards give you something good? Great game!
