We played several different games of Trekking Through History with two players and was super impressed.
I have to admit, at first, the game felt almost "too easy" but the decisions and complexity of the game really ramps up in the last two thirds of the game and creates a really fun and interesting experience. But it's still an easy-to-learn family weight game.
The artwork is bright and friendly. And I personally LOVE, LOVE ❤️ the time travel theme and the components - including a neoprene game mat! - are really fantastic.

We both felt strongly that this game would be very highly recommended for families with kids interested in and learning history. Lots of opportunities to learn while playing and having fun.
We tried a couple different strategies and the game was really balanced and fun. Lots of tactical decisions with open drafting and Trekking Through History uses my favorite game mechanism, the Time Track.
